We are The Uni-box and we are the one stop shop for everything you need for your exciting new start at university.

How did we start? Well…take one parent, two unorganised sons and two long distance trips to new universities and you get a very common situation for thousands of families across the world.

It was whilst sitting at an M6 service station, in September 2005, that Jane announced to her husband and son Jamie, that she was going to start her own online business selling student starter packs. Jane had spent a large proportion of her summer, dragging a less than interested Jamie, around countless supermarkets in search of great deals on homewares. From kitchenware to bedlinen, Jane had to source it all and the best deals were never in the same stores.

With the family people carrier fit to burst with Jamie’s trappings they headed off to the university of choice only to be welcomed by the families of 2,000 other students all fighting for that elusive parking space in the under-sized car park. All rushing to fit up the tight stairs first, box after box, being stacked up to reduce trips back to the car.

Jane knew there was an easier way and so The Uni-box was born. Almost 6 years on, The Uni-box now serves thousands of new students nationwide each year.
